1x Teaching Assistant/Lunchbreak Supervisor (SEN) Vacancy

We are looking to appoint a confident and competent SEN TA to join our hard working and dedicated staff team.  This will be a specific purpose contract to cover a pupil with an ‘Educational and Health Care Plan’ (EHCP). Should the pupil leave the school or the pupil’s ‘EHCP’ is reduced/removed the post will cease. 

The vacancy is specifically to work with a named child with social, emotional and behaviour difficulties who is currently in Year 6. Previous experience of working with pupils with special educational needs is desirable but not essential. 

Start Date: 6th January 2020
Temporary, part time, term time only post 
Payscale H9 (TA) / H13 (LBS)
25 hours per week (20 hours - TA + 5 hours - LBS)

8.50am – 12.00pm (TA hours)
12.00pm – 1.00pm (LBS hours)
unpaid lunchbreak 1.00pm – 1.30pm
1.30pm – 2.20pm (TA hours)

 Applicants must have:

  • A good standard of general education, to include literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to NVQ2 in English and Maths. 
  • NVQ3 for Teaching Assistants or other relevant qualification with at least one years practical experience of working with children,
    or;
  • A minimum of 3 years previous experience of working with children in an educational context with evidence of relevant training in the appropriate age range or curriculum/learning area.

The post is subject to a DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) Clearance.

1x Lunchbreak Supervisor Vacancy

We are looking to appoint a Lunchbreak Supervisor to join our friendly, hardworking and dedicated staff team from 6th January 2020.

Candidates for this important role will: 

  • Be warm, positive, caring and fully committed to the safety, wellbeing and enjoyment of our children.
  • Be patient, calm and organised.
  • Work well as part of a team but also able to use your own initiative.
  • Be enthusiastic and have a positive outlook.
  • Be fully supportive of the school’s approach to outdoor play and our ‘whatever the weather’ approach.
  • Have the communication skills necessary to act as a link between the children, the other lunchbreak staff and the rest of the adults working in school.
  • Be prepared to fully participate in training and professional development where applicable to the post.
  • Understand the need for and adhere to strictest standards of confidentiality.

The post is for 7 hours per week, term time only and is a permanent contract.

 Working hours:

Monday – Thursday 11.50am – 1.10pm & Friday 11.50am – 1.30pm.

 Salary grade H13.
