Caretaker/Handyperson Vacancy

Required as soon as possible, a Caretaker/Handyperson for 20 hours per week.  The hours of work are 7.15am – 8.30am and 3.30pm – 6.15pm, Monday to Friday. During school holidays split shift hours will not apply and hours of work can be negotiated and agreed. Some overtime and lettings may be available.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible colleague to join our hard working and dedicated staff team.  You must be able to demonstrate initiative as your duties will include:

  • Opening/closing school site
  • Day to day maintenance
  • Cleaning

The annual leave entitlement for full time all year round employees is 24 days, rising to 29 days after 5 years’ service, plus 9 bank/public/extra statutory days (i.e a total of 6.6 weeks, or 7.6 weeks after 5 years’ service). A maximum of 5 days annual leave can be taken during term time, the remainder must be taken in school holidays, in agreement with the Headteacher.  

Grade: H11 SCP 5-6 (£10159.00 - £10363.00 per annum)

This is a permanent, part time, all year round post.
