School Lunches

Children have the option to have a school dinner or a packed lunch. School meals are cooked on the premises and are available at the cost of £2, unless you are eligible for free school meals. Payments can be made by cheque

(South Gloucestershire Council) or by cash in a sealed envelope with the child’s name displayed on the front.

Please see below a recent copy of our school menu.  If children would like to order a jacket potato instead then please let Mandy in the kitchen know at the very start of the day (before registration)

School Menu

Children bringing packed lunch may bring a non-fizzy drink, in a suitable water-tight container (not glass).

Milk

All children under the age of 5 are entitled to free milk. This is given out in a tetra pak container.

Fruit

Under the school fruit and vegetable scheme, infant children are entitled to a free piece of fruit. Additionally, children can choose to purchase (15p) some fruit tuck from the school kitchen during morning break.

 Free School Meals

The term ‘free school meals’ is more than just providing a free lunch for poorer families.  The Government now gives a ‘Pupil Premium’ which is money to schools to help children from lower income families.  This money is used to support a wide range of additional help which goes way beyond a free lunch. Please look in the 'Important Information' tab on this website for further details on how to apply.

Water in Class

Research shows that even small amounts of dehydration can affect concentration and performance.  We therefore encourage children to bring a leak-free water bottle into class from which they can get a drink if feeling thirsty.  Please ensure bottles show the child’s name.
